Why would I want to do this?

Your video can be made for any number of purposes or occasions:

Do we have to shoot video?

No. Shooting video interviews, or other footage of your home or other significant locations, is an option. Many films are made entirely from animating still photographs.

How much does it cost?

Each personal or family documentary is custom designed and produced, and is priced according to the duration and scope of the project. There is no flat rate per video or per-minute cost. Pricing considerations include the source materials used, amount of original interview material required (if any), music used (if any), and the time and materials involved in research, production, and post-production (editing, graphics, DVD authoring, etc.) of your video.

Will I have a chance to see and approve my video before it is finished to DVD?

Yes.

How long will my movie be?

Most videos will be 10 to 20 minutes in length. Figure about 7 to 15 minutes if we use photos or home movies only, and 15 to 20 or 30 minutes (or even longer) if video interviews are included. Because each movie is custom made, and edited to tell the best story and include only the best material, the duration will vary. We can, of course, edit your video to a predetermined length if you wish.

How long will it take to create my video?

A few weeks or so. More or less depending on the amount and kind of material we are including, and when we can schedule time with you for interviews and approvals.

Why "Rosemary"?

Rosemary is the herb of love and memory. The name rosemary comes to us from Greek words meaning "the dew of the sea". In times past, garlands of rosemary were worn by young couples at their wedding, and use of the herb in teas and other concoctions, including love potions, was thought to improve memory. Recent scientific studies lend some credence to this belief. Rosemary is wonderfully aromatic when used in cooking or as a bouquet of freshly cut sprigs. It seems a fitting symbol for an artifact created for love and remembrance.

Are my personal and family photographs safe with you?

We have the utmost respect for your privacy. We won't screen your video for others or re-use any of your source material for any other purpose without your expressly given permission. All of your source material will be returned to you in as good a condition as it was submitted, and, if you wish, all of the digital masters of your photos or other media that we use to create your DVD will be released to you for your safekeeping.
